Dr. Wake joined the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ in June 2023 as the Director of the Center for North Atlantic Studies. He brings 35 years of experience in directing an interdisciplinary research program focused on studying regional climate change, engaging partners in the science and solutions related to the changing climate, and developing sustainability education and research opportunities for students. 

In addition to engaging the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ community with external partners to build healthy communities, healthy environments, and thriving economies here in Maine and across the North Atlantic, Dr. Wake directs the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Summer Sustainability Fellowship program and the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Online . Dr. Wake also serves as ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ’s primary contact for the .

Dr. Wake previously worked at the University of New Hampshire as the Josephine A. Lamprey Professor of Climate and Sustainability at the UNH Sustainability Institute and research professor at UNH’s Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space.
