Fulbright Scholar Program
Global Research and Scholarly Exchange
³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ participates in the Fulbright Scholar Program, one of the world’s most recognized international academic exchange programs. Through Fulbright, ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ faculty engage in teaching, research, and professional collaboration abroad while welcoming visiting scholars to campus. The program supports a range of award opportunities, including U.S. Scholar, Visiting Scholar, Specialist, and Arctic-focused initiatives.

University of the Arctic (UArctic)
International Collaboration Across the North
³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ is a member of the University of the Arctic (UArctic), a cooperative network of universities, research institutes, and organizations focused on education and research in and about the Arctic and northern regions. Through ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ North, the University participates in international research partnerships, thematic networks, and projects addressing sustainability, climate change, and resilient communities across the North Atlantic and Arctic region.

Maine INBRE
Statewide Biomedical Research Network
The Maine IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (Maine INBRE) strengthens Maine’s biomedical research capacity through a collaborative network of educational and research institutions. ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ participates in Maine INBRE alongside partners such as the MDI Biological Laboratory and The Jackson Laboratory. The program supports undergraduate research training, early career faculty development, and shared research infrastructure.

Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering (GSBSE)
Collaborative Doctoral Training in Biomedical Science and Engineering
³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ is a collaborating institution in the Graduate School of Biomedical Science and Engineering (GSBSE), a University of Maine–based doctoral program delivered in partnership with multiple research institutions across the state. Through GSBSE, students pursue Ph.D. training in biomedical science or biomedical engineering while conducting research at UNE and other partner institutions.
